Shop Policies

Please read through EmmieBean's Shop Policies before purchasing. By purchasing, you are agreeing to the terms below.

Hours

Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm Pacific Time.

Payment

Once payment is received and I have received an approved photo, I'll schedule your preview date and begin your illustration.

Shipping

I'll ship to the address provided at checkout. It usually takes me a few weekdays to print your illustration and pop it in the mail. Please let me know if you need your portrait to arrive by a certain date.

USA Shipping:

I ship via USPS First Class 2 - 5 business day. Any duplicates purchased and shipped with the original portrait, ship for free. Duplicates purchased at a later date, or shipped to a separate address will be charged again for shipping.

International Shipping:

For International orders, I ship via USPS First Class International 6 - 10 business day. Any taxes or import duties are the responsibility of the buyer and have not been included in the shipping charges.

Refunds and Exchanges

Customer satisfaction is very important to me. Unfortunately, EmmieBean cannot offer returns or exchanges on custom illustrations due to the many hours that go into drawing them.

If you're not sure if your photo is suitable for an illustration, please contact me before purchasing. Specific guidelines for choosing your photo can be found here. 

Additional Policies and FAQs

Standard pricing covers a photo with a reasonably simple background. Photos with complicated backgrounds or buildings in the background will either incur an added fee for the extra time they take to draw, or I can do color-blocking in place of the background.

Complicated patterns and prints often incur an added fee for the extra time they take to draw. I can always simplify them at no charge.

I retain all copyrights to illustrations that I create and may use illustrations and the photos they're based on for any EmmieBean promotional and commercial purposes.

Your EmmieBean portrait is for personal use only, for example, hanging in your home, and may not be used for commercial or promotional purposes such as logos, websites, blog banners, or anything that generates a profit without express written permission.
